Seth Meyers is an American comedian, writer, producer, actor, and TV host. He currently hosts his own late night talk show, Late Night with Seth Meyers, which is featured on NBC.He has also worked in the past extensively with Saturday Night Live, where he was on the show for nearly 13 years. He was the primary host of the Weekend Update for several seasons.Meyers is well known for his comedy style as it is satirical, improvisational, and even insult or surreal humor.
Early on in his career, Meyers would perform improve comedy with Mee-Ow Show, which was centered at Northwestern University. He would then become part of ImprovOlympic and Boom Chicago. He would get noticed by SNL scouts while working with these groups, where he would earn his audition and eventual position at the show. He would be promoted to writing supervisor for SNL in 2005 and co-head writer with Tina Fey and Andrew Steele in 2006. During his time at SNL, he would impersonate numerous important individuals and celebrities.
In 2013, he would be offered the position as the host of Late Night, taking over for Jimmy Fallon. He has been in the position ever since. He is married to Alexi Ashe, and they have been together since 2008. He has three kids with his wife.
