Terry Fator is an American ventriloquist, impressionist, stand-up comedian, and singer. He was born in Dallas and developed an interest in ventriloquism when he was a young boy. He also focused on developing a singing career as well at the same time. He would perform solo performances with comedy and ventriloquism, but he would ultimately gained further recognition for his talents when he decided to audition for the second season of the TV show, America’s Got Talent.
Prior to his entrance into the world of professional entertainment, he grew up in Dallas and was born into a family name of five. He received his first ventriloquism dummy when he was only 10 years old, using it to entertain friends and family, but he would also do impressions of singers and famous actresses. His family would save up money for him to get his first puppet when he was 18 years old. He was able to impersonate singers by practicing driving the car. He would tour around in the 1980s and perform all over the North American continent.
By 2007, he would make his first national appearance ever on the America’s Got Talent stage. He never imagined that he would win the TV show, but he ended up winning. Following his win, he continued to perform at several different locations, signing contracts in Las Vegas and performing multiple shows. He also would appear on numerous other TV shows and continue to achieve significant success and fame for his talents. In his personal life, he is highly involved in charitable work and helps to give back to the community as much as possible.
