Q-Tip, born Jonathan William Davis on November 20, 1970, in NYC, is a celebrated rapper, producer, and actor. He co-founded the iconic hip-hop group A Tribe Called Quest in 1988 with Ali Shaheed Muhammad and Phife Dawg, gaining acclaim for albums like The Low End Theory (1991) and Midnight Marauders (1993). Launching his solo career in 1999 with Amplified, Q-Tip later released The Renaissance (2008) and rejoined Tribe for We Got It from Here… Thank You 4 Your Service (2016). Known for collaborations, he has worked with Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Kanye West.
