After headlining Lollapalooza in 1993, Primus revived their original lineup for a reunion record in 1994. Their 1995 album, Tales from the Punchbowl, went gold, but drummer Tim Alexander departed in 1996, replaced by Brian “Brain” Mantia, who debuted on The Brown Album (1997). Mantia left after Antipop (1999), and the band went on hiatus. Primus returned with Green Naugahyde (2011) and reimagined Willy Wonka in 2014. Inspired by The Rainbow Goblins, The Desaturating Seven (2017) followed. Recent works include 2022’s Conspiranoia and a collaborative Sessanta EP in 2024.
