William Close is an innovative installation artist and musician best known for the Earth Harp, the world’s longest playable stringed instrument. By extending its strings up to 1,000 feet and attaching them to architectural elements, the Earth Harp transforms venues into resonating instruments. A graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago, Close merges architecture and music, installing his creations in iconic locations worldwide.
