Tom Papa is an American comedian, actor, and radio host. He currently hosts the Sirius XM Satellite Radio show, Come to Papa, and he has also become the host of What a Joke to Papa and Fortune. On television, Papa has also been a host for shows like Baked and he’s also the former head writer of Live from Here, which was a radio variety show hosted by Chris Thile.
Early in his career, Tom Papa got his start in New York City on the open mics in 1993. He would begin to perform at any open mic he could find, eventually touring with Jerry Seinfeld after he met him in New York in the comedy scene. He would work hard on his comedy, being able to record five stand-up specials including Live in New York City, Freaked Out, Human Mule, and others. They are currently available on Hulu, Amazon, and Netflix to stream or purchase.
As an actor, Papa also has been in notable roles that people have seen over the years. Most notable, he was the recurring part of Luff in The Knick. He would also appear in Top Five, behind the Candelabra, and the Matt Damon film, The Informant!. He’s also appeared on Inside Amy Schumer, The Jim Gaffigan Show, and numerous other TV shows. His most recent comedy special on Netflix, You’re Doing Great!, was released in 2020.
