He graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2009 with degrees in Law and Commerce. Starting comedy in 2009, he has toured globally and appeared at Just for Laughs multiple times. His US TV debut was on the Late Late Show in 2015. He starred in "Crazy Rich Asians" and created the series "Ronny Chieng: International Student." In 2019, he released his Netflix special "Asian Comedian Destroys America!".
