Musical Heart Strings is a professional string ensemble that has been performing together for over sixteen years. Offering an eclectic and extensive repertoire, we perform everything from classical, contemporary pop, jazz, oldies, rock & roll to heavy metal. Influenced by the Vitamin String Quartet, we arrange most of the music ourselves and provide exclusive covers performed only by Musical Heart Strings. Possible ensemble configurations include string duo, trio, and quartet with the larger ensembles featuring a fuller, richer sound. We also have the unique ability to add piano/keyboard to any of these combinations which give us a more jazzy feel. Our supreme ensemble is our string quartet, consisting of two violins, viola and cello. We are available as an acoustic group or we can provide amplification to boost our sound. We can also play foot percussion while we play our instruments to make our ensemble sound more like a 'band', especially perfect for receptions and parties. If you see a piece on our website that we have yet to record, we can record it just for you (for no charge) even if we don’t have a contract in progress. In addition to offering a wide repertoire and the choice of many ensembles, another thing that sets us apart is that we have liability insurance. Many venues are now asking the musicians to be insured which we can accommodate.
