Lisa Ling is an American journalist and TV personality, and author. She currently hosts This is Life with Lisa Ling on CNN, and she was also a reporter for numerous other channels. In her past, she worked for The View, National Geographic Explorer, and as a correspondent for The Oprah Winfrey Show. She also hosted Our America with Lisa Ling on the Oprah Winfrey Network from 2011 to 2014.
Before her entrance into the entertainment and journalism industry, Ling would attend the University of Southern California to study journalism. She's the daughter of a Taiwanese mother and Chinese father. Her first beginning in television would be for Scratch, a teen magazine show based in Sacramento. She would also have numerous assignments in the Middle East as an anchor and reporter for Channel One News.
Lisa Ling is not the only journalist in her family in her personal life. Ling is married to Paul Song, and they have two children, Jett Ling Song, and Ray Ling Song. They currently live in Santa Monica, and Lisa has described herself as a "die-hard feminist."
