John Rich is an American country music singer and songwriter. He was a member of the country music band, Lonestar, from 1992 until 1998. He would embark on a solo career following this, well into the late 1990s, and he would release two singles and a record,Underneath the Same Moon, which was eventually delayed until 2006. In 2003, he joined with Big Kenny to make the country duo, Big and Rich, and they would sign to Warner Bros. Records for three albums together.
Following his career with the country duo, he would then begin to work with other artists as well during this time. He was a producer and songwriter for Gretchen Wilson, Keith Anderson, Jewel, and even John Anderson. He would also help to write a song for Taylor Swift on her 2008 album, titled “The Way I Loved You”. He was also one of the brains behind Faith Hill’s song “Mississippi Girl” and even “Redneck Woman” for Gretchen Wilson. He also performed a duet with Marie Osmond on her album in 2016.
In more recent years, he continued to make music with his solo career, but he also embraced a new career potential with television. In 2007, John rich hosted the first season of a reality TV show called Gone Country, where individuals try to become songwriters with the help of Nashville songwriters and celebrities paired together. The show lasted for two seasons before it was cancelled. He was also a judge on the 2008 show,Nashville Star, alongside others like Billy Ray Cyrus. In his personal life, he has been married to his wife Joan since 2008.
