Ellen Bennett is a half-Mexican, half-English chef that was born and raised in Los Angeles by her mother. She has a passion for cooking that began when she was younger and as time rolled on, she found herself wanting to explore the possibilities. When she was eighteen, she would move to Mexico City to attend culinary school and study from some of the best chefs in Mexican cuisine.
After her graduation from culinary school, Ellen would move back to Los Angeles and work in numerous kitchens around the city. She would work in some of the best kitchens in the area, gaining experience and finding ways to fit in with the industry. She would then create Hedley & Bennett on her own. She would get the idea to create an apron company when she saw that every apron she had was simply falling apart.
To change the nature of the culinary world, Bennett would create an apron that even she would want to wear while cooking. One that was functional, durable, and had numerous pockets for wear. She would create the #apronsquad and the company itself has grown considerably. As a result, Ellen Bennett has made a strong name for herself within the industry.
