Damon Klotz is a podcast host, speaker, startup advisor, early culture amp employee, and award-winning social entrepreneur. He's also an aspiring talk show host, based in San Francisco CA. As a graduate of Queensland University of Technology, he studied business and would then enter several positions within this field. He would create his first organization, QUTAHRS, which began as a student group centered on networking and becoming involved in the business world. After that, he would go to work for Queensland Health, where he would become a HR advisor and work there for a period of less than three years.
Damon would experience even more HR positions at AHRI, where he worked to bring together HR students young professionals into one room to inspire and build relationships with one another. From there, he would jet set to United Kingdom, where he would work as a digital media strategist, and then return to Australia to continue his work as the global digital strategy manager of the company. After leaving that position, he would co-found spur, a company focused on tackling the rate of suicide amongst men in Australia and developing new approaches to suicide prevention.
With all his expertise in business, Damon would seek to advise and mentor others, creating Blackbird, an organization designed for mentoring others, as well as work full time as the host of The Culture First Podcast. As an industry leader and somebody who has experience in multiple different areas of business, Damon has made a name for himself as a storyteller, mentor, advisor, but most importantly someone with enough business expertise to guide others along the path to success.
