Chris Cosentino is an American celebrity chef and TV personality. He’s best known as the winner of Top Chef Masters and even a contestant on The Next Iron Chef. He’s known for his unique style of haute cuisine offal dishes, and he’s also the chef-partner of Incanto in San Francisco. People have touted Incanto as one of the most adventurous restaurants in the country, complete with a full tasting menu that most people fail to see in their lifetime.
Growing up, Cosentino was raised in Rhode Island, and he would graduate from Johnson & Wales University. He was raised in an Italian American community, and he prides himself on being raised to use the “whole-animal ethic” when it comes to cooking food. He sees that the entire animal can be used in some capacity, and always strives to make this happen with his variety of dishes.
As a chef, he would work for notable restaurants, presenting food for some of the greats including Robert De Niro, Robin Williams, and Francis Ford Coppola. He would begin to work at Incanto in 2002 and help them to create a rustic Italian menu. He’s also worked on numerous other restaurant projects, focusing on creating something unique and a homage to his roots with each menu he helps to curate.
