Charley Crockett, a distant relative of Davy Crockett, taps into Americana mythos in his music. Initially a blues singer, Crockett expanded into soul, gospel, and country, exemplified in his 2017 album *Lil G.L.'s Honky Tonk Jubilee*. His 2018 album *Lonesome as a Shadow* cemented his presence in the Americana scene. After signing with Thirty Tigers for 2019's *The Valley*, Crockett became known for his relentless touring and regular releases, including cover albums under his Lil' G.L. moniker and original works.
