Brent Cobb's home in the American South is also his muse. A Georgia native, his Grammy-nominated songwriting captures the rich musical tapestry of southern rock, soul, country, and blues. Cobb calls this mix “southern eclectic,” showcased in his latest album, *Southern Star*. After leaving Nashville and returning to Georgia, he wrote songs filled with country-soul, laid-back grooves, and storytelling. Cobb’s experiences, including the loss of his friend Jason “Rowdy” Cope, inspired this album. Recorded in Macon with local musicians, *Southern Star* is a love letter to Cobb's southern roots.
