Brene Brown is an American lecturer and professor and is well known for the books that she has released. Over her career, she has spent much of their time studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy. She's one of the most successful authors, with five number-one New York Times bestsellers. Her most famous works include The Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly, Rising Strong, Braving the Wilderness, and Dare to Lead.
Brown also speaks candidly about her experiences as a professor and shares her research in talks such as her TED Talk, "The Power of Vulnerability". She's also earned a filmed lecture released on Netflix in 2019, titled Brene Brown: The Call to Courage. In addition, Brene Brown currently teaches and studies several different facets of the human experience at her alma mater, the University of Houston.
Brene Brown has accomplished her Bachelor’s in social work from the University of Texas at Austin, her Master of Social Work and her Doctor of Philosophy in social work from the University of Houston. She lives with her family in the Houston area, and they have two children, Ellen and Charlie.
