It's official. Following press leaks over the weekend, Oasis have returned and announced their first live performances in 16 years. These shows will take place across major stadiums in the UK and Ireland during the summer of 2025. Among the highlights are four consecutive nights each at London's Wembley Stadium and Manchester's Heaton Park. Noel and Liam Gallagher shared a brief statement:
“The guns have fallen silent.
The stars have aligned.
The great wait is over.
Come see.
It will not be televised.”
(Though, it’s likely the shows will be filmed for a concert movie.)
Tickets go on sale Saturday, 31st August at 9:00 AM UK time. Full dates are listed below.
No official word has been given on the 2025 lineup of Oasis beyond the Gallaghers. Guitarist Gem Archer and drummer Chris Sharrock, who were part of the late-2010s lineup, are currently in Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, while original Oasis member Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs has been performing with Liam's band. The bassist position remains a mystery—could Andy Bell of Ride be returning? Stay tuned.
And what about the rest of the world? “Plans are underway for OASIS LIVE ’25 to reach continents beyond Europe later in the year.”
2025 will also mark the 30th anniversary of the band's globally acclaimed second album and Britpop classic, (What’s the Story) Morning Glory. Expect more announcements related to this milestone. This week, Oasis also celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Definitely Maybe.
