Carla Hall is an American chef, television personality, and former model. She would become most popular for appearing on the fifth and the eighth seasons of Top Chef, featured on Bravo. She would also become the cohost of The Chew, which is a one-hour talk show that talks about food from different perspectives.
In her personal life, Hall was born and raised in Nashville. She would attend Howard University Business School and earn a degree in accounting, eventually becoming a Certified Public Accountant. However, she would hate her job and eventually quit to become a model. She would spend several years working in Paris, Milan, and London, but would ultimately be driven to pursue culinary school.
Carla would enroll in L’Academie de Cuisine in Bethesda, Maryland. After she graduated, she worked in numerous kitchens before she would start her own catering company, Alchemy Caterers. From there, she would appear on several culinary shows, open Carla Hall’s Southern Kitchen restaurant. She would even be on Top Chef: All Stars and would demonstrate her chicken pot pie recipe on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and her stepson, Noah.
